Are you curious about how Canada's weather forecasts are made, what it's like to work as a meteorologist, or how to turn your studies in science into a meaningful career? Whether you're studying Atmospheric Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, or simply interested in learning more about careers in weather and environmental science, join representatives from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and the Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC) for an exclusive information session exploring pathways into the federal public service.

Bibisha Mbimbi (she/her), Human Resources Advisor, PSC - Quebec and NCR
Lily Evans (she/her), Human Resources Advisor, PSC - Ontario and Prairies
Guest Speaker: Mariette Kulin, Senior Meteorologist, Meteorological Service of Canada. Mariette Kulin is a senior meteorologist in the Training Division of the Meteorological Service of Canada, having spent the majority of her career as an operational meteorologist producing aviation forecasts for Western Canada and the Arctic. In her current role, she leads the national recruitment of new meteorologists into the Government of Canada.

This session is perfect for Faculty of Science students, especially those studying Atmospheric Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Environmental Geophysics, Seismology, or programs within the Department of Environment and Geography. Eligibility: A proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency must be provided at a later date (birth certificate from a Canadian province or territory, valid Canadian passport, citizenship certificate or permanent resident card). People with a valid Canadian work permit residing temporarily in Canada can apply to the process but cannot receive an indeterminate/permanent job offer.
