UM Behind the Hire is a monthly lunchtime info session series designed to help students explore career pathways, meet employers actively hiring, and gain insight into workplace culture and expectations. Each session includes a presentation followed by Q&A and discussion.

STEP Services is the official student employment placement service for the Government of Manitoba. Eligible students can find full and part-time jobs with the government departments, agencies, and Crown corporations throughout the year in various locations across the province.

With over a decade of experience in public service, Brett Howden is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and guiding individuals toward career opportunities. As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator with the Government of Manitoba, he specializes in recruitment, program development, and relationship management.
