Manitoba Transportation & Infrastructure would like to connect with engineering, environmental sciences, geography, project management students, but all UM students curious about large-scale infrastructure careers are welcome to attend.
Manitoba Transportation & Infrastructure will be providing light refreshments.

UM Behind the Hire is a bi-weekly lunchtime info session series designed to help students explore career pathways, meet employers actively hiring, and gain insight into workplace culture and expectations. Each session includes a presentation followed by Q&A and discussion.

Meet the Presenters
Felicia Mackay
Acting Training, Development, and Recruitment Manager
Felicia oversees training, development, and recruitment initiatives at MTI, including the department's Co-op and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) programs. She plays a key role in supporting students and new graduates as they begin their careers with MTI.
Ryan Thompson
Pavement Management Engineer
Ryan is a Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Manitoba (2008) and a former co-op student and EIT with MTI. Today, he manages pavement programs and continues to be actively involved in MTI's EIT program, mentoring and guiding the next generation of engineers.
Austin Hall
Junior Project Engineer
Austin has been with MTI for a year and a half, working in the Preservation and Planning group for Water Infrastructure. His role includes both office work-such as project management, dam stability analysis, and breach studies-and fieldwork, including dam inspections, construction oversight, and flood monitoring. As an EIT, Austin values the strong mentorship and support he has received at MTI, as well as the opportunity to work on projects that match his interests.
Arnish Patel
Junior Project Engineer
Arnish is currently part of MTI's Engineer-in-Training (EIT) program. In his role as a Junior Project Engineer, he is gaining hands-on experience and developing technical skills while contributing to infrastructure projects across Manitoba.
