Cette présentation est animée par le Secrétariat aux affaires francophones et est un partenariat entre la Commission de la fonction publique du Manitoba et les sociétés de la Couronne du Manitoba. Nous explorerons pourquoi le fait d'être bilingue français/anglais peut être un avantage permettant une carrière enrichissante et dynamique au sein de la fonction publique. Les sujets de la présentation sont les suivants :

• Le statut légal du français au Manitoba
• La population francophone du Manitoba
• Les entités publics du Manitoba
• Les positions désignés bilingue vs bilinguisme « désirés »
• Le processus d'embauche et l'évaluation des compétences linguistiques
• Possibilités de stages et pour les étudiants

 

Working in French in the Public Service of Manitoba

This presentation is facilitated by the Francophone Affairs Secretariat, and is a partnership involving the Public Service Commission of Manitoba, as well as Manitoba's Crown Corporations. In it we explore why being French/English bilingual can be an asset leading to a rewarding and dynamic career in the public service. Presentation topics are:

• The legal status of French in Manitoba
• The Francophone Population of Manitoba
• Manitoba's Public Entities
• Designated Bilingual Positions vs Bilingual "Desired" Positions
• The Hiring Process and Language Evaluation Process
• Internship Possibilities with the Province and the Student Temporary Employment Program
